Heat Transfer Vinyl On Painted Canvas

I prefer to use clear contact paper to transfer my vinyl.

I had never tried using heat transfer vinyl on a canvas before i was missing out. You re going to need your heat press and or your iron warmed up. My heat press has a 15x15 plate. Since you re using heat transfer vinyl it s going to transfer with heat aka your iron or a heat press.

Go to your machine s design canvas workspace and create your design. In my experience htv is way better on canvas than adhesive vinyl. Applying the vinyl to the canvas. The only exception to this is when you are using glitter vinyl it needs a super sticky transfer paper.

The whole canvas was dry in under an hour and paint could still be applied to it and holy of holy s the vinyl stuck. Some of the transfer paper brands are entirely too sticky.
